This fundraiser was created by Cheryl Small's family:
Luke & Bonnie Small and Sara & Daniel Stutes.
The purpose of this fund is to be used towards multiple things:
- Cremation costs
- House bills while everything is sorted out (Mortgage & Utilities)
- Any Escrow, Legal, CPA Fees that might come up
- Pet food & supplies for a short time until they are re-homed (Hannah, Ruby, and the chickens)
- Mostly, the funds would be used towards the Celebration of Life in the Spring, we're anticipating a huge turnout because she was loved by so many people.
Any remaining proceeds will be donated to Cheryl's favorite charity: The Me-One Foundation www.Me-OneFoundation.org
Small, Cheryl Annette, beloved mother, Nana, Aunt Cheerio, Mama Smalls, YaYa sister, and friend to all, age 67, of Roseville, CA left this earth on December 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Keith Boyer and Elaine Vivian Boyer. She is survived by son Lucas (Bonnie) Small, daughter Sara (Daniel) Stutes, and her five treasured grandchildren; Bridget, Caleb and Emmett Small, and Lincoln and Kailey Stutes. She is also survived by her two brothers Kevin (Sondra) Boyer and Clayton (Lisa) Boyer, loving former in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends.
Cheryl was born and raised in Orange and Santa Ana, CA and graduated from Orange High School in 1971. She began her health and wellness profession while working as a chiropractic assistant in Orange County. Shortly after becoming a certified massage therapist she relocated with Luke and Sara to Roseville, CA in 1992 and started her own massage therapy business, The Comfort Zone Massage & Wellness Center. Since then, she has made her mark in the wellness industry for Roseville and Placer County by being one of the original massage therapists in the area, while helping to pave the way for other reputable massage therapists and their businesses.
Cheryl was proud and honored to be a Licensed and Certified Massage Therapist, Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Certified Chiropractic Assistant, Master Gardener, Certified Herbalist, graduate of the Master AGvocate program from PlacerGrown, fluent in Sign Language, ordained wedding officiant, volunteer at Orangevale Open Elementary School garden, previous Spa Director and grant writer for the Me-One Foundation, and incredible contributor to the community in many more ways. As a self-proclaimed hippy chick, Cheryl loved the outdoors and nature. She enjoyed being in her backyard with her chickens and dog Hannah, going on walks, hiking, kayaking, gardening, traveling, writing stories, reading, and most of all spending valuable time with her grandkids. A favorite memory is when one (or all!) of her grandkids got a “Nana Day.” She would take them out for an adventure returning later in the day with big smiles, treasures, and the newly gained knowledge of multiple things learned that day. She would constantly say to them “I love you to the moon and back!”
Cheryl was loved by so many and has left a huge impact on everyone who knew her. She made each person she encountered feel as if she was put on this earth to help or heal them in one way or another, which is exactly what she did. She inspired others to love, laugh, and make this world a better place. Cheryl has left an incredible legacy and will be missed deeply.
