Cheryl Simpson ❤️ Cancer fighter for 12 years
Donation protected
My name is Lisa Roman, and I am writing this with the heaviest of hearts. Since 2009 my mom Cheryl Simpson, now 61 years old, has fought a rare form of cancer called Vulvar cancer. Which many people don’t know, is a type of skin cancer. Years of Chemotherapy, radiation, minor and major surgeries, and an unfair amount of constant bad news every time she thought the fight was over. A little less than 3 months ago she received the worst possible news. They found a tumor the size of an acorn squash wrapped around her bladder. It was a shock to her and to her doctors as well, and as fearful as you can imagine. Not more than a couple weeks later it spread to her lungs and I’ll tell you for the first time in her life after being strong for so long, she became very weak. At this time the chemotherapy was too strong for her body to handle and the tumor was getting bigger. The reason I am writing this is none of us were prepared for the skin cancer to invade the inside of her body and at such a rapid rate. My mother is now on hospice, so my family and I are looking to prepare and give her any peace of mind that we can. Those of you who know her, know that she is an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, cousin and friend. After fighting for so long she deserves the very best of services and we want to make that happen. Please from the bottom of our hearts any donation would help, as well as prayers are needed through this difficult time. My heart is breaking everyday for her. Cancer may still think it has won but I know in my heart she will still continue to fight until the last moment. She is and always will be our hero ❤️
