Hi, my name is Cheryl. I fell ill a few months ago and my friends took me to the emergency room. I was incoherent, in pain, and vomiting. The doctor gave me fluids and sent me home. My friends, who had taken me to the emergency room, begged the doctor to keep me, but he refused and sent me home. The next day my friends did a wellness check, I was incoherent not knowing who they were, they had to carry me to the car. They took me to a different emergency room where I was diagnosed with Meningitis, Osteomyelitis, Ventriculitis and my sugar count was over 800. I was close to death and thanks to my friends, the doctors and nurses at the 2nd hospital who worked diligently I survived. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and am unable to work due to headaches and memory issues. I am hoping to raise funds to help with my living expenses until I am released and able to go back to work. I am also hoping to raise legal funds for a lawyer to sue the first emergency room. Because of their negligence I almost died leaving behind a son. What I experienced at the first emergency room I would like to prevent happening to someone else who may not survive.
