Cheryl needs help after triple bypass
Hi, my name is MaryBeth and I am raising money on behalf of my good friend, Cheryl Miller. Though Cheryl lives an active and healthy lifestyle, a genetic predisposition recently caused a heart attack that required a triple bypass surgery, an unexpected and very scary procedure. She spent about a week in the hospital and thankfully, the surgery was a success and she is starting to heal.
Before learning about her perilous heart condition, Cheryl was supplementing her limited social security income with a full time job as a teacher's aid in Broward County Schools, navigating the extra challenges brought by the COVID 19 pandemic. She is a regular caregiver to two of her great grandchildren and is the heart of her family, providing love and support to everyone. She had just been hired for an office job in Hollywood parks over the summer before she learned about her pending surgery. She is still recovering and is unable to drive or lift anything. Working at the school may be too taxing for her now and she will probably need to find a new job. In addition to employment stress, she must also leave the condo she has been renting by the end of July. On the day she learned she would be having open heart surgery the following day, her realtor told her that she would be able to stay an extra month through the end of August. The relief about her housing was short-lived as the day she returned home from the hospital, she learned that her realtor was mistaken and she would indeed have to be out at the end of July.
I am writing on Cheryl's behalf because she needs help right now. I looked over her insurance coverage and she will have several thousand dollars in hospital bills, maybe more. She is also unable to work and needs more time to rest and get stronger to return to the workforce in a more suitable position. Finally, she needs help with her moving expenses as she is not able to do much herself and must completely rely on others.
I am also asking for leads on an affordable apartment in the Lake Worth area and prayers and good vibes for her complete healing and return to her vibrant self. Cheryl is a giver--she is a proud environmentalist, grandmother, mother, and friend, and I feel blessed to have her in my circle. Honestly, she may be the kindest person I know. When I spoke to her about my intention to put this request out there, she insisted that others need more help than she does. That may be true but on behalf of Cheryl, she will be humbled and beyond grateful for any help at this challenging time. Thank you in advance for reading my request and giving what you can, even if it is positive vibes! Positive energy is needed right now. If you can also share this request, this is appreciated too. Any funds raised will go directly to Cheryl to cover her medical expenses and living expenses for the next several months to give her some time to recover and get back on her feet.
