Hi My name is Lauren Himmighoefer. I am Matt Himmighoefer's wife. Cheryl Himmighoefer was my mother in law and Matt's step mom. To say she was an angel would be an understatement. You don't meet people like her often. She was ALWAYS kind, caring, giving, and optimistic, even during the tough times. If you ever met Cheryl, you know that her smile warmed the room.

I am not sure where to begin, but I knew I had to do something to help upon Cheryl's passing. The Himmighoefer family has suffered loss after loss over the years and Cheryl is an immense one. She was the matriarch of their family that kept everyone together after her late husband Randy's passing and the unimageable loss of her son Jeff. It breaks my heart to see her children Randy, Matt, Justin, Sarah, Debi, Susan, Will, Denelle, and Hannah suffer this loss.

I decided to start this fund because I know they would never ask. Cheryl raised these amazing children to give. But, I feel that it is now our time to give back to her through them. Cheryl deserves to have her funeral as she would have wanted, a celebration of her life. And, she would not want her children to have to worry about how to fund it.

Cheryl truly touched the heart of everyone she met, it is evidenced by the endless messages on her Facebook page. She had a community around her like no other and she fought until her very last breath. She fought to stay here with her family, her love Kevin, and her friends for as long as she could, until she couldn't fight any more.
