Medical bill assistance for Cheryl Gillette-Shaw
Cheryl Gillette-Shaw was diagnosed with rare anal cancer last April. She was told with the chemo radiation program there was a 99-100% chance of cure. Cheryl was in the 1% that was not completely healed with chemo and radiation treatment. Cheryl had to meet her deductible before everything was covered and when those treatments were unsuccessful, they could not get her in for surgery until January, which meant meeting another large out of pocket deductible.
Cheryl is now starting the recovery process from a strenuous surgery and rehab and has gone back to work part-time, Praise God. However, they have incurred medical expenses that exceed $16,000 that were not covered by insurance.
Cheryl worked for the US Post office for 25 years in the Dallas District. After retirement, worked for a doctor for 4 years and then was led to open an in-home Christian day care where she loves on others children while they are at work.
Ronald Shaw, her husband, works for Presbyterian Hospital as a security guard overnight. He has been very supportive and by Cheryl’s side during this entire time which also meant time off work.
Cheryl has been a distributor with Advocare on Cody & Kelley Mahon’s team for over 12 years. She also was assistant for Crystal Thurber and Johnny Loper.
I know we can pull together to help relieve some pressure of the extra expenses that this family has incurred.
