Cheryl Daly - Funds for Her Daughter's Funeral

My name is Debbie Murphy, a childhood friend of Cheryl Ensley Daly who lost her daughter, Amber, on June 23, 2023, after a three-year medical battle. Amber’s progressive disease left her wheelchair bound at times and eventually bedridden in the last few months of her life. Through it all, Cheryl, along with Amber’s husband, Josh, were the primary caregivers during Amber’s agonizing, debilitating illness.

Amber had no life insurance. Cheryl is now faced with the funeral costs to bury her cherished daughter who leaves behind a 13-year-old daughter of her own. Amber's obituary

For those of you who love Cheryl, you know she has suffered extreme loss in her life the past 12 years. Her husband of 36 years, Ricky, a deputy sheriff in Clayton County, was killed in the line of duty in 2011. Her son, Toby, also a deputy sheriff, died of melanoma cancer in 2018. Now, Cheryl grieves the loss of her only other child after Amber’s passing.

Through all this unfathomable tragedy in Cheryl’s life, she has steadfastly maintained her strong faith in God--never complaining, praying without ceasing, yet always rejoicing in the eternal life her departed loved ones are now experiencing.

But now Cheryl, who is always quick to sacrifice to help others, really needs our help with Amber’s funeral expenses. Any money raised beyond the funeral costs will go to help Cheryl with things she had to defer or postpone while caring for Amber in Cheryl’s home (e.g., house repairs, car maintenance, Cheryl’s own selfcare, etc.).
