Hi. This is Heidi and I am setting up a much needed Go Fund Me account for our friend and United Airlines co-worker Cheryl Brodsky. In the last 2 years she has had close to if not more than 20 surgeries. She has had many complications from those surgeries, run out of sick time and is unable to take care of herself. She has insurance, and additional long and short term insurance, however she has not been able to file claims since she is incapacitated. Currently she is in UMiami hospital and has been there for 8 plus weeks. Over the last few days she had another 2 surgeries on her back and hip. She has been in multiple Skilled nursing facilities as well.

In February 2024, Cheryl had back surgery for severe spinal stenosis. She walked with 2 canes and insurance approval took a very long time. The surgery was a lengthy procedure. She was healing well until she slid off the bed and broke her hip/femur. She then required a complete hip replacement surgery while recuperating from back surgery. At this time she developed an infection in the hip which has spread to her back. It has been quite an ordeal for Cheryl, and she is feeling very low mentally. She has two daughters that are in college far away. They help where they can.

She has been taking Uber's to doctors appointments, ambulette services which she has to pay for out of pocket. Some of her co-workers and retirees have tried to help where they can with laundry, clothes, money, food but she needs more support.
