hey yall! the time has come for us to make a big community ask!! cherry has received her gender-affirming ffs date for december 4th!!!

she’s been on the waitlist since january 6th so this is HUGE news! we are still slightly recovering financially from her recent gender-affirming breast aug two months ago and are trying to plan in advance and get ahead of finances!

cherry’s been busy, busy, busy the last few years supporting the SF trans community with the Office of Transgender Initiatives. she leads the one-of-a-kind annual Transgender Advocacy Week which brings community leaders directly into City Hall to advocate for trans people. she also supports annual events like Transgender Day of Visibility, Trans March, Transgender Immigrants Day and Transgender Day of Remembrance. more recently, she’s working with the California Women’s Foundation to write and pass a law focused on immigrant economic justice.

we are looking to raise $8k minimum by mid-november to help cover surgery costs, as well as rent and bills since she’ll be off for at least four weeks and i for two weeks to take care of her!
