I don’t have the deep pockets or political backing of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, so I’m counting on regular Canadians to help me achieve the justice I deserve.
I have filed a lawsuit against the Trudeau Foundation, demanding justice for the sexual misconduct I suffered while a scholar in 2018, at the hands of Former NWT Premier Stephen Kakfwi, who was serving as my mentor.
The Trudeau Foundation is pulling out all the stops, employing lawyers across the country to try to prevent me from proceeding with my lawsuit. I suffered not only the trauma of sexual misconduct at the hands of my mentor, but the Trudeau Foundation continues to inflict pain by refusing to allow me to tell my truth and support my recovery.
The Trudeau Foundation has used intimidation and threats against me, in addition to their very deep pockets, to make it very difficult and expensive to continue with the lawsuit.
This GoFundMe is seeking to raise $10,000 to help fund costs associated with my lawsuit, outside of lawyer fees; things like: court filing fees, telecommunication fees, copying fees and incidental fees. Any additional funds raised will go towards supporting my ancillary costs with the lawsuit.
