A young ambivalent assassin, discovers her newly assigned target is an 11-year-old girl.

Hi my name is Hayley Keating, & I have written a film that explores the impact that Domestic Violence and Emotional Abuse has on both women and children growing up in abusive households. I believe that the ongoing trauma that occurs from a violent childhood is something not heavily discussed in film today or accurately portrayed on screen. Too often than not, films focus on the occurrence of domestic violence and the cycle of abuse, but never the aftermath of its trauma that affects survivors. I hope that this film opens a bigger conversation on Domestic Violence and Emotional Abuse as a whole but also serves as a liberation to those who identify as survivors to harness their courage and use their pain to fuel their power. I wish to discard the narrative of these women and children being labelled as victims, and instead showcase their strength and highlight the hopefulness in their futures.

THE STORY

Cherry, a lethal assassin, gets more than she bargained for when she is hired by a paranoid step father to assassinate, to her understanding his waitress wife. Upon acceptance, Cherry discovers she has actually been hired to kill the man's 11 year old step daughter Rylee. Racing against the clock, Cherry, Rylee & her mother, Lila, engage in a surprising conversation where Cherry is not only confronted with her own crisis of faith, but also struggles to understand why she is being hired to kill an impulsive, audacious preteen. Cherry and Lila swiftly unite, forming an alliance to seek revenge against Rylee’s step father, the man who unjustly stripped Rylee of her childhood innocence.
