Hello, my name is Cherry.

Last night, Typhoon Opong struck my hometown in the Philippines and completely destroyed my family’s home. We are grateful everyone survived, but we lost almost everything.

I am the sole breadwinner for my family. My mother (68) helps care for my 7-year-old son while I work to support them. My father-in-law, my sister, and her small children also lived in our home. Now, multiple generations and young kids are displaced and trying to get by without shelter, food, and basic supplies.

What we urgently need:

• Temporary shelter and food

• Clothing and basic supplies for the children

• Rebuilding materials to make our home safe again

My husband, Zen, is helping me manage this page and withdrawals from the U.S. so funds can be sent directly to my family in the Philippines. Every donation—no matter the size—will help us get immediate essentials and start rebuilding.
