Help family of healthcare hero, Dr. Asim Ghori

Donation protected

I am asking to donate for a colleague of mine, Dr. Asim Ghori, who is critically ill due to Covid-19 complications and is on ventilator with minimal brain function and very poor prognosis.

Dr. Ghori had been at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19 from the very beginning of the pandemic and has saved dozens of lives in the ICU setting of one of the busiest hospitals of the country. Unfortunately, he got infected himself in the process despite being fully vaccinated and is now fighting for his life.

Dr. Ghori is a brilliant 41 year old anesthesiologist with fellowship in Critical care. He has several gold and silver medals under his belt and has an illustrious career serving the country and humanity.

His personal life is also full of exemplary deeds. After the loss of his father while he was in medical school, he not only completed his challenging education with flying colors, but being the oldest son, has been the sole financial and moral support for his younger siblings and his ailing mother ever since. He is also a loving husband and father of three beautiful daughters 6 years, 4 years and 4 months old.

While we pray and hope for a miracle to happen from Allah Almighty, please join me in helping Dr Ghori's family in this difficult time. Our goal is to ensure a financially secure future for his three little angels.

Clinical Details:

He contracted Covid 19 in January 2021. He then recovered from it and went back to his work. As per the protocol, he received full vaccination for Covid-19 after his recovery. In August 2021, while performing his duties and caring for other severely ill COVID-19 patients in the ICU, he got reinfected. He is being treated at PNS Shifa in Karachi at this time. Dr. Ghori received adequate treatment for COVID-19 but developed progressive shortness of breath and eventual ARDS, for which he was intubated and placed on the ventilator on August 13. His illness was complicated with meningoencephalitis and hydrocephalus. He received antibiotic treatment, to which he responded well. A VP Shunt was placed during which he had a massive intracranial and intraventricular bleed. Currently he has minimal brain function and a very poor prognosis.
