Dearest family and friends,
Our precious little Princess, Kaleah, passed away on May 11 at the young age of 6 years old. Kaleah adored being held by her Daddy and Papa’s strong arms, falling asleep on their chests. She found joy in the chaos of her cousins running around, with her aunts cautioning them about watching out for nephrostomy tubes. She cherished massages from her Grandma, kisses all over from her Momma, and secret kisses from Aunt Shelly when Momma wasn’t looking(Also all over but shhhh). Kaleah found solace in classical music, with Beethoven being her favorite, and worshipped with the Lord to Tori Kelly’s melodies while watching her Momma and Aunts dance around. Rainbows, unicorns, and anything that sparkled brought her delight. She basked in the warmth of sunshine on her face and loved strolling around Papa’s and Grandma’s backyard. But above all, her favorite moments were cuddles with her brother Levi, who always sought her attention.
As many of you know, Kaleah was the strongest and bravest of us all. She endured countless surgeries and hospital stays, yet she always remained happy, ready to laugh, and to share her radiant smile. Kaleah was diagnosed with a very rare condition called Genitopatellar syndrome that has little to no research or understanding, and for the past 6 years, her journey has been a relentless battle for comprehension and care. Her incredible and brave mother, Kionna, and her fierce and strong father, Maurice, fought tirelessly every day to keep her healthy, strong, and growing in the best possible ways. Now, they face the most formidable challenge of their lives: saying goodbye to their little girl and explaining to her little brother, Levi, why he won’t be able to shower his sissy with love anymore.
As a family, we humbly reach out to you, seeking your love, support, and prayers during this extremely hard time. With deep care and consideration, we've created this GoFundMe campaign with the intention of helping them in their financial challenges. Kionna has dedicated herself as a full-time caregivers for Kaleah, to ensure her well-being. However, with Kionna no longer able to serve as Kaleah's in-home supportive service caregiver, a source of monthly income has been lost, adding financial strain to their family. Your generosity will not only help in covering funeral expenses but will also provide support as they navigate this new chapter of their lives. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would be profoundly appreciated.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Our family.
UPDATE:
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have reached out, donated, and shared our link to support Kionna, Maurice, and little Levi during this challenging period. Your kindness and generosity have deeply touched us, and we are immensely grateful for each and every one of you.
