Help Us Cherish Every Moment With Tyler (“Bub”)

Our sweet Tyler — our Bub — has fought cancer with strength and bravery three different times. Recently, we learned the devastating news that his leukemia has returned for the third time.

Finding out the cancer was back was already heartbreaking. But now we have been told something no family is ever prepared to hear — that our time with him may be very limited.

Tyler is now receiving hospice care. While our priority is simply being together and keeping him comfortable, peaceful, and surrounded by love, we are also facing growing medical and future expenses as we prepare for the inevitable.

Right now, our focus is not on treatments or battles. Our focus is on love. On comfort. On memories. On being together.

As a family, and honoring Bub’s wishes, we have decided to spend the remainder of our time together in Portland at Maine Medical Center, surrounding him with as much love, peace, and familiarity as possible. Every moment is precious, and we are holding tightly to each one.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who loves Tyler and has shown our family such compassion and support. Every donation to this fundraiser will be used solely for Tyler’s care, including his medical-related needs and the expenses that will follow. Our intention is only to ensure that Tyler is surrounded by comfort, dignity, and love, without the added burden of financial stress during this heartbreaking time.

Most of all, it allows us to stay exactly where we need to be — by Tyler’s side.

For those who wish to visit, we lovingly ask that visits take place on Wednesday and Thursday only, so that we may spend the rest of our time privately together as a family. We hope you understand this request comes from love, not distance.
