Cherish the Time: Help to Honor Lester Pogue Jr.

Dear Family & Friends,

On Thursday, February 13, 2025 our family learned of the passing of Lester Clarence Pogue Jr. beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, community activist, liberation influencer, and so much more. His impact was profound and his absence is immense. His generosity of time, effort, spirit were boundless and their influence transcends his passing.

We’re raising funds firstly, to create a celebration of life that honors his impact, and allows all that were touched by his life to gather and remember him. The funds will be dedicated to paying for cremation expenses, and costs associated with the gatherings. As many of you know, Lester had a young daughter, Camille, so any remaining contributions would help to support her during this difficult time.

As the loss is still fresh, the details of dates and location of the services are still being decided, but will be shared once determined.

In one of his last messages Les reminded us of the imperative to “cherish the time”. Lester embodied these words wholeheartedly. We will miss his wisdom and charity to causes he held most dear. His legacy lives on.
