IL PROGETTO

Sardegna, 1968.

In un piccolo paese dominato dalla presenza di una grande fabbrica; Pietro, un ragazzino di tredici anni, passa le sue giornate a lavorare nei campi con suo padre. È il più grande di quattro fratelli, vive con la sua famiglia in una casa umile e ha sempre conosciuto solo fatica e sacrificio. Ma durante l'estate, qualcosa cambia. Guardandosi intorno, parlando con gli amici, Pietro comincia a immaginare un'altra vita, diversa da quella che ha sempre vissuto. La fabbrica diventa ai suoi occhi un posto dove, forse, si può ottenere di più e vivere meglio. Da quel momento stare nei campi comincia a pesargli, e il rapporto con suo padre, severo e chiuso, si fa più difficile. È solo con gli amici che riesce a respirare un po', a lasciarsi andare alla curiosità e ai sogni. Finché, una sera, spinto da quel bisogno confuso di futuro, decide di avvicinarsi da solo alla fabbrica. Quel posto enorme, pieno di misteri, lo attira come un magnete, promettendogli qualcosa che ancora non riesce a comprendere.

Questa storia nasce dal bisogno di raccontare la mia terra e le sue trasformazioni, di interrogarmi sul rapporto tra lavoro, identità e territorio. Il titolo, in sardo, significa “cento teste, cento berretti”: un modo di dire che racconta quanto ogni persona abbia il proprio modo di pensare, immaginare e resistere. Ed è proprio questo che cerco di indagare con questo film: la pluralità di sguardi, i dubbi, le tensioni generazionali, le possibilità che nascono anche nei luoghi più duri e dimenticati.

NOI

Mi chiamo Federica Taglialatela e sono una studentessa all’ultimo anno del corso di Cinema e Animazione alla NABA di Milano. Questo cortometraggio rappresenta il mio progetto di tesi, ma anche la sintesi di un percorso artistico e personale che porto avanti con dedizione. Scrivere e dirigere CHENTU CONCAS CHENTU BERRITTAS è per me un modo per raccontare, da un punto di vista intimo e critico, un frammento di memoria collettiva della mia terra, la Sardegna.

Accanto a me ci sono altri due laureandi, che condividono con entusiasmo e impegno questa avventura creativa:

Daniele Tango, direttore della fotografia, è anche lui studente all’ultimo anno del corso di Cinema e Animazione in NABA. Lavoriamo insieme da tempo, e so che la sua sensibilità visiva sarà fondamentale per restituire sullo schermo l’atmosfera del racconto. Il suo sguardo contribuirà a rendere il paesaggio sardo non solo sfondo, ma presenza viva e vibrante all'interno della narrazione.

Filippo Guarino, montatore, ha anch’egli frequentato il corso di Cinema e Animazione in NABA e ha scelto di contribuire alla realizzazione del progetto. Il suo lavoro sarà essenziale per dare ritmo e respiro al film, mantenendo viva la tensione emotiva che accompagna il protagonista nel suo percorso di crescita.

La troupe sarà composta da giovani professionisti e studenti provenienti da tutta Italia, uniti dalla voglia di raccontare una storia con autenticità e cura. Insieme ci stiamo impegnando a costruire una fedele ricostruzione d’epoca, rispettando il contesto storico e culturale in cui il film è ambientato.

Per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di aprire una raccolta fondi: realizzare questo progetto richiede risorse e supporto, e ogni contributo, anche piccolo, può fare la differenza.

Sostenerci significa credere in un cinema che racconta storie vere, radicate nei territori, capaci di parlare a tutti.

THE PROJECT

Sardinia, 1968.

In a small town dominated by the presence of a large factory; Pietro, a 13-year-old boy, spends his days working in the fields with his father. He is the oldest of four siblings, lives with his family in a humble house, and has always known only toil and sacrifice. But during the summer, something changes. Looking around, talking with friends, Peter begins to imagine another life, different from the one he has always lived. The factory becomes in his eyes a place where, perhaps, one can achieve more and live better. From that moment being in the fields begins to weigh on him, and his relationship with his strict and closed father becomes more difficult. It is only with friends that he is able to breathe a little, to let go of curiosity and dreams. Until, one evening, driven by that confused need for the future, he decides to approach the factory alone. That huge place, full of mysteries, attracts him like a magnet, promising him something he still cannot understand.

This story was born from the need to tell about my land and its transformations, to question the relationship between work, identity and territory. The title, in Sardinian, means “a hundred heads, a hundred caps”: a saying that tells how much each person has his own way of thinking, imagining and resisting. And that is exactly what I try to investigate with this film: the plurality of gazes, the doubts, the generational tensions, the possibilities that arise even in the hardest and most forgotten places.

My name is Federica Taglialatela and I am a final year student in the Cinema and Animation course at NABA in Milan. This short film represents my thesis project, but also the synthesis of an artistic and personal path that I pursue with dedication. Writing and directing CHENTU CONCAS CHENTU BERRITTAS is a way for me to tell, from an intimate and critical point of view, a fragment of the collective memory of my land, Sardinia.

Alongside me are two other undergraduates, who share this creative adventure with enthusiasm and commitment:

Daniele Tango, director of photography, is also a final year student in the Cinema and Animation course at NABA. We have been working together for a long time, and I know that his visual sensibility will be fundamental in returning the atmosphere of the story to the screen. His gaze will help make the Sardinian landscape not just a background, but a living and vibrant presence within the narrative.

Filippo Guarino, an editor, also attended the Cinema and Animation course at NABA and chose to contribute to the realization of the project. His work will be essential to give rhythm and breath to the film, keeping alive the emotional tension that accompanies the protagonist on his journey of growth.

The crew will consist of young professionals and students from all over Italy, united by the desire to tell a story with authenticity and care.

Together we are striving to build a faithful period reconstruction, respecting the historical and cultural context in which the film is set.

This is why we have decided to open a fundraiser: realizing this project requires resources and support, and every contribution, even a small one, can make a difference.

Supporting us means believing in a cinema that tells true stories, rooted in the territories, able to speak to everyone.
