Grant Kausel Memorial and Assistance

Grant Kausel was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer In June at the young age of 51. He started chemo almost immediately but unfortunately, the cancer had spread too far too fast. He fought a good fight until he could not fight anymore. He recently passed away on his mother’s birthday giving his Mother the best heavenly birthday present ever as she pre-deceased him.

Grant did have minimal medical insurance, but, his policy did not cover a large portion of the expensive medicine and treatments his care plan required. His employment contract with Pella Windows was terminated in June due to supply chain constraints.

Grant was a kind and loving soul who loved fishing, music, tinkering on home improvement projects and spending time with friends and family, especially the love of his life Sara Zaudtke.

As you may know, Grant and Sara spent their summers on Lake Vermilion and wintered in Fort Meyers Beach Florida. Unfortunately, Sara’s home was destroyed in hurricane Ian. Sara, and his family are looking for any help you may be able to offer in Grant’s memory. Funds will be used to help cover medical expenses, Hurricane Ian Disaster assistance and Pancreatic Cancer Research in hopes of finding a cure for this silent and deadly disease.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

With gratitude,
Grant’s Family
(Sara, CJ, Kelly, Michael, Maddie, Meredith & Gerty)
