Chennai-to-Goa 1,200 km Rickshaw Challenge for Charity

50 Women. One Wild Journey. A Mission to Transform the Future for Girls and Women in India.

Hi I'm Tara. From 2nd to 8th March 2026, I’ll be joining a group of 50 women from across the globe for an adventure unlike anything I’ve ever done before: the Sisterhood Rickshaw Rally 2026.

Over six days, we’ll be navigating 1,200 km across India - from Chennai to Goa (from the East to West of India) - driving our own tuk-tuks the entire way! (I have my international driving license at the ready!)

We’re coming together with a shared purpose: to raise vital funds that will directly support girls and women in some of the most underserved communities in Chennai.

Our collective goal is £350,000, all going toward powerful, community-led initiatives that will make a lasting difference.

Your support will help to:

• Create safe, weather-proof classrooms so children - especially girls and those with additional needs - have a protected and inspiring place to learn.

• Provide vocational skills training for young women, helping them build confidence, gain independence, and create their own opportunities.

• Strengthen maternal healthcare, including tackling postpartum anaemia, to ensure mothers can thrive during and after pregnancy.

Important: Every donation goes straight to the charity. None of the funds raised will cover my participation costs; I’ve already taken care of my travel, accommodation, and rally fees personally.

Whether you’re able to give a little or a lot, your support means the world and will help to change lives.
