Chennai Cancer Institute

Hi, my name is Mira. I am 12 years old. I live in The Netherlands. I am raising for the Chennai Cancer Institute because my mother was diagnosed with cancer  2 years ago and now has been cured, but I know that not everyone does get cured. During that time, we went to the institute and met the chairman, Dr. Shantha, who is 93. At her institute she treats 40% of her patients for free. We are very lucky, living in a western country, that we can afford the treatments, but not everyone in India can. 2 years ago, for my birthday, I donated 800 euros to the Institute, by asking my friends to donate money instead of buying me presents. The Institute needs money to be able to treat the children there. We are aiming to raise money for the chemotherapy of the children who have cancer. Any amount of money you donate, is helping one child live a longer life.
