Dear friends and classmates,
On January 8, 2019, after an extended illness, our beloved classmate and friend, Valerie Chenay Costen, transitioned to her heavenly home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Gates County High School Class of 1973 is launching a GoFund campaign to assist the Costen family with medical and other expenses accrued during Chenay's illness and passing.
Chenay was a hard-working, business-oriented lady with unwavering love for family, friends and community and unselfishly gave 100 percent to whatever cause she engaged in. Despite life-threatening personal challenges during her last months with us, she played a key role in helping the Class of 1973 pull off a successful 45th class reunion celebration which will long be remembered. We hope many of us find it in our hearts to send donations in any amount, but please give generously to this worthy cause and deserving friend.
