Dear friends and family,
I am Kialee Blum, reaching out with a heavy heart to share my mom, Wendy Kutter's courageous journey battling Diffused Large B Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). In June of 2022, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Stage 3, leading us through a challenging path of tests and treatments.
Despite initial resistance to standard chemotherapy, Mom's fight led us to Mayo Clinic for a more aggressive approach—a bone marrow transplant. For over 60 days in Rochester, she faced critical illness, returning home in November. Unfortunately infections and Covid pneumonia persist, which kept her in the hospital for nearly another 20 days in January.
Our understanding is Mom's cancer is not curable, but her spirit remains unbroken. Seeking improved quality of life, she now undergoes clinical trial of
chemo. Our family is organizing a Benefit on April 13th, 2-6pm at Hank’s Sports Bar and Grill (formerly Trapper Pete’s), to aid with the financial strain. Silent auctions, and spaghetti dinner will fill the event, aiming to support my parents in this trying time.
The outpouring of community support has touched our hearts, and we welcome any donations. Your prayers are a source of strength as we hope for precious, quality moments with Mom.
God bless,
Kialee Blum
