Chemotherapy for Smokey Bear the Kitty

Please help! Our cat Smokey has been diagnosed with lymphoma. He is very young, a little more than a year, and has not had the chance to live a full life. He also has a brother at home named Bandit. Smokey and Bandit are very bonded and we know Bandit will struggle when Smokey is gone.

The vets say the only treatment is chemotherapy which could give him the chance to live another year. Chemo is not guaranteed to work and it’s expensive. Without chemo Smokey could pass any day.

This is not something we have ever done but we thought we could ask for help to pay for treatment. The most basic treatment is around $2,000, about the amount we paid to have him diagnosed. The more advanced chemo could be $7,000-$10,000. We know it’s a lot to ask for, but we are hopeful if people are willing to help we can save Smokey or at least give him a chance.
