Hi my name is Chelsea and I rescued Bailee 10 year old female Jack Russell x from a pound last year in December where she was left abandoned for 2 weeks, all of her teeth were rotting in her head, she was skinny, full of untreated arthritis and had awful skin issues. I rescued her and got her teeth done and gave her a good quality diet and medications to control the skin issues and good quality supplements and medications for the arthritis. Bailee comes to work with me everyday, sleeps next to me all night every night & has helped me through some pretty tough times. She’s a feisty old girl who pulls my younger 3 dogs into line and even though she’s old and has arthritis she runs around like a mad woman and does her little dancey dances every night for her dinner! However my best mate in the whole world unfortunately has been diagnosed with High grade aggressive Lymphoma Cancer. Which if left untreated she will die within 2 months. The lymph nodes under her neck have swollen and she has become lethargic, off her food & not her normal self. This was diagnosed by sending samples of the lumps off to a pathology clinic. The pathologist said in their report that if left untreated Bailee would only live for another 2 months or so. The chemotherapy & 8 doses of cancer vaccine for Bailee can be upwards of $5,000 & I would appreciate nothing more in the world than for some kind people to help donate towards bailee’s treatment so I can keep my best mate for a bit longer. I know when I rescued her she was old and had her issues and she wasn’t going to be around forever but I didn’t think I wouldn’t get to spend even a year with her. I know that even after this treatment that one day she will have to leave me but I don’t want that day to be any day so soon.
