Mother of 3, Mary (57), has lost her battle with Lung cancer June 3, 2019. Any donations to the family will be appreciated.
I think it’s important to atleast try to reach some people about this subject so if you have the time to read... this is to anyone who smokes cigarettes or anyone who is close to someone who does, PLEASE QUIT!!! And i know you’ve heard it before and probably said it’s not that easy.. well it’s also not easy for my Dad to walk 10 feet to the refrigerator, walk to the car or inside a grocery store or any basic daily activities without getting dizzy and loosing his breath, texting me at all hours of the night because he can’t sleep because he can’t breathe and it’s not easy to watch him struggle to breathe while just sitting on the couch with inhalers around his neck 24/7 and oxygen up his nose and medication on top of medication and doctor appointments after appointments.. to hear he gets rushed to the emergency room because he couldn’t breathe never knowing when it might be his last breath... to be on deployment and get a Red Cross message saying that my mom is in the hospital and they found tumors in her lung, kidney, brain, and all along her spine, that she only has 6-12 months to live, and then taking a biopsy and puncturing her liver almost bleeding to death. To have to FaceTime her from another country because i can’t even be by her side and she can barley speak and stay awake to hold the phone. Seeing someone who is so beautiful go through chemo and loose all the long thick hair they have and being in pain so weak they can barely walk on their own literally loosing all the weight they have left to them.. to be 21 years old and have to face the fact that any time now i can live the rest of my life without either one of my parents .. going 18 years of breathing in second hand smoke i hated that more than anything and to those of you who have children how selfish? Giving up years of your life for what? It might not seem like it’s hurting you now but in the long run it will... COPD is not something you want to live with ... stage 4 lung cancer caused 90% from smoking is not something you want to live with or put your family through! Please stop now while you have a chance . A puff of smoke is not worth your life!!!!
