My 5 month old son has gone through the wringer with health, his first PCP pushed all of my concerns off for 3 months, he has a mystery case with his mouth that is now diagnosed as Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. It’s the overgrowth of normal cells. He has 12 teeth, it affects him eating and living day to day life. He has had bad skin rashes for 4 months, that also is affected by LCH. He has a ton of allergies with food/formula, he chokes everyday 1-3 times, he also has terrible reflux. Nothing would be this bad if we got help October 18, 2023 (first time I mentioned all of his issues). He sees over 12 doctors for all of his issues, we’ve been to over 50 doctor appointments. We didn’t get help till January 1, 2024 when he got admitted into hospital. He had surgery on his mouth to diagnose him (LCH), he’s on 9 medications, he has had multiple labs and tests, scans, and now surgery. Before January 1st, he had 2 poop tests for positive blood. Nothing was done. All of my concerns were dismissed by her. I begged for specialist and she didn’t give them to me till I demanded them and that’s when I left to another office. For LCH, he has to get chemotherapy for a year, 1 time a week. This will be super hard for me as he has a 3 year old brother also. The past few months have been hard enough, now finding out about cancer, is just heartbreaking.
