Hi, it's Emily and I’ve never really been good at asking for help so this feels a bit awkward for me to do. However I'm willing to do just about anything for my guy Jasper.

Earlier this week I brought Jasper in to have some lumps checked out and the tests came back that he has Lymphoma. As you can imagine this is devastating news AND a switch kicked on my head and my heart that said NOPE we can beat this. See other than the lumps he's been behaving as his regular self. Eating, drinking, sleeping, chasing bunnhies and being grumpy pants when Rob tries to take him away from the curl of my lap. That all gave us the gift of promise. So we are proceeding with treatment as soon as we can. All will be revealed as to how he will resond once we begin and we will take it week to week. I will not let him suffer AND I will give him a fighting chance. Anyne who knows him knows he's feisty!

For those of you who don't know his backstory with me I'd like to share some stories to allow you to connect to him.

He came into my life through a friend who is known to rescue dogs in need from very random places. He was clearly abused and mistreated so when we first met he barely let me touch him. Two weeks later when I went to pick him up it was as if he knew he was meant to be with me, he came right over to me let me love on him and that was that. We left that house and he never looked back.

I won't go into all the details but let's just say it's been quite the journey with him helping him learn to trust again and even to this day he takes him time warming up to new people. But as many of you know once you are in the fold you are a lifer.

The thing is I wouldn't have traded any of that for an easy dog. Jasper has been with me through thick and thin and we've gotten each other through this life. He's been a constant source of the kind of unconditional love only a dog can give you. He's quircky and silly and fierce all in one little 10lb package. He's my best bud and soul dog! And I love him so very much!
