"Chemo Saved My Life ....... But Sadly Damaged All My Teeth"

Hi my name is Keith! I have spoken to a selection of friends about doing this and have have had positive feedback. One lovely friend, she said "Everyone loves you Keith and would be willing to assist", let’s hope she's right :-).

I have contemplated going to Turkey or other places in the world to get this work done but due to my plethora of health issues, I have been recommended by health specialists not to as I am at risk of complications. So it’s a no go for me sadly !!

"My Story"

In 2009, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. After months of exhausting chemotherapy, I was told I was in remission. I consider myself incredibly lucky and I am grateful everyday — but surviving cancer has left me with a battle I didn't expect.

The chemotherapy that saved my life also destroyed all the enamel on my teeth. Over time, my teeth have rotted away, one after another. I’ve been fighting to save my smile and my ability to eat for over a decade.

Since my diagnosis, I have spent more than £25,000 on urgent dental treatment just to be able to chew food and live without constant pain. I’ve paid for extractions, numerous crowns, and repairs — but despite everything, the damage continues.

"Where I Am Now"

My dentist has now told me that I urgently need: 10 dental implants, four of them with two teeth on each. I have lost all my bottom teeth and I am facing reconstruction of this area.

These are not cosmetic procedures — without them, I will lose the ability to chew solid food altogether. I currently have a temporary plate which I constantly have issues with and know that dentures would not be a long term solution for me. I remember my poor Mum and the constant troubles she had and I just want to avoid this at all cost.

The total cost for this essential treatment is £22,000 +. There is no NHS funding available for this level of restorative dental care.

"Why I’m Asking for Help"

I have exhausted my savings. I’ve paid for every procedure so far myself, but this time, the cost is far beyond what I can manage alone.

This is not about vanity — it’s about the basic dignity of being able to smile, sing, and speak confidently.
