Cancer?  But I'm only 34..."

“Chemotherapy…okay.  Chemo Brain and neuropathy… not okay.”

"You choose to tell me you don't love me in my 11th round of chemotherapy?  Wow.”

“Okay, now what?"

Time to heal physically, mentally and emotionally!

Life traumas have a way of changing our perspectives.  The small things become trivial, laughable even. I wish for everyone to have clarity and wisdom, but none of the suffering that carries it into our lives.

I had no idea how difficult recovering from chemotherapy would be.  Unfortunately, cancer has taken more than just a physical toll.  It broke my heart by putting too much pressure on a young relationship.  Que Sera, Sera... time to properly grieve and become whole again.  Time to find my next stop on my life's journey. Time to put in to full practice that worry is the opposite of faith.

I am choosing to see this as a time I am free to heal my mind, body and spirit instead of hopeless setbacks.   I want to continue my life as a science educator while on my Chemo Recovery Adventure.  My dog and I are setting out for our national parks in my SUV.  I want to create virtual field trips and corresponding lesson plans for the classroom as I traverse the nation.  I will be returning to teaching in the fall, but want to return as whole and healed as possible.

Medical expenses have been financially draining.  I want to be on the road through the summer, but will need food, gas and supply money. Over the next 3 weeks, I will be selling off and donating most of my possessions to fund my SUV conversion to a camping vehicle.  I am researching and implementing every DIY, efficient and low cost alteration I can find for the journey.
