Not many people  know what Crohn's disease is or even what it can do to a person. My family, unfortunately, was introduced to it in 2008. 8 years later this disease has robbed both of my step children of many things that most of us " healthy" people take for granted. With the grace of God, countless stressful days, and much research, we taught ourselves about this horrible disease. Fortunately the quality of life for my step son has improved a great deal over the past couple years and he has been able to maintain a decent way of life for a little while now. On the other hand, my step daughter has been suffering for quite some time now.  She was admitted to Memorial Hermann in Pearland on 5/21/2016 after being admitted and discharged from Conroe regional only a week prior Her stay there has yielded no answers and now they're pushing her out without any sort of treatment plan. The pain I see in her eyes in almost unbearable. All we want is for her to be better so she can finish school, live a decent life, and start her own family one day. She is a college student with limited income and no health insurance. Without insurance she will continue to receive minimal help and will continue to be treated poorly. We need to get her insurance so we can get her on the right track to recovery. There is no way that we can do this on our own though. I ask, plead, and beg for anyone to help us any way you can. The treatments she needs are very expensive without insurance. We need help so we can have our girl back in good health so she can carry on with her life. Right now, there isn't a cure for this disease but she doesn’t have to suffer like this. Please! Every little bit adds up so there is no minimum. Once there is enough funds between your donations and our personal funds, I will purchase health insurance and pay for any other expenses related to her care. PLEASE...any little bit will help us!
