With a heavy heart, I write this message. On October 18th at 8:14 AM, my dear little sister drew her last breath. Her struggle was known to only a few – She had stage 4 liver disease. We were in the process of getting her set up with the USC Liver Transplant Center and working on healing her body so that she would be strong for the process. Despite our efforts, her condition worsened. She was admitted to the hospital, discharged, and sent to her GI Specialist, but sadly, nothing substantial was done to aid her. It was only when her condition deteriorated further that the doctors comprehended the gravity of her situation. Tragically, by then, it was too late to administer the procedure that might have saved her life.

Our beloved Chelsie fought valiantly, but the disease eventually claimed her. She has left us, ascending to the heavens, leaving behind her most precious gifts – her two beautiful children. First and foremost, she was a devoted mother, a loving wife, a cherished daughter, and a beloved sister. Those who had the privilege of knowing Chelsie can attest to her boundless kindness. She always put others before herself, her presence radiating infectious warmth that drew people near.

This loss has shattered our world. We had unwavering faith that she would receive a new liver, granting her the opportunity to grace our lives for years to come. However, fate had a different plan.
