Chelsi and Michael Canhoto

Mike was involved in a freak swimming accident while they were away this weekend and had to

be Med-Flighted to Jackson Mississippi (before you ask NO they would not take him to NOLA).

Mike’s neck is broken. It is pretty severe and they

are going in sometime this morning for surgery

to try and repair what can be repaired. They

won’t know his final prognosis until Friday at the

earliest. They do know it’s most likely going to be ALOT of PT to regain some functions but they

don’t know for sure exactly what yet.

He is alert and talking—just in a decent amount of pain in between medication doses

Chelsi is not able to stay at the hospital outside

of visiting hours until he is moved from Neuro

ICU to a regular room which won’t be for awhile, but she was able to get a hotel close by.

I will update as more information is received.

As most people know Chelsi is always one to

give and help when needed. Let’s return the

favor and now help her family during this

extremely difficult time. Mike will be out of work as well as Chelsi for some time. Any donation is
