Chelsey Wilson medical crisis

[Please see updates]
At the age of 13, dear sweet Chelsey Wilson was diagnosed with FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis). She is now 19 and has had many crises over the years. What is a simple infection to you and me will put Chelsey in the hospital, putting her major organs in danger of shutting down. Today she is in Cardiac ICU at Ochsner hospital in New Orleans. She was admitted on December 26th and will likely be here for several more weeks. The infection in her blood caused kidney and lung failure. She is on dialysis and ventilation to sustain her life. Her heart is now stressed and she often faces the danger of cardiac arrest. She has been induced in a coma twice to aid her recovery. As a faithful Jehovah's Witness, Chelsey is working with medical staff to pursue non-blood medical solutions to get the best care. Also click here for an informative video. The hospital has been very cooperative.
The Wilson family consists of mom Michelle, dad Prentis, and 6 kids ranging in age from 4 to 19. Chelsey was starting her first day of Pioneer Service School, when she was rushed to the hospital by the afternoon session.
Since they live about 30 miles away from the hospital, they are staying at the Brent House hotel, attached to the hospital. They have already accumulated 2 weeks of stay, which amounts to almost $1500. They will likely be here another 2 to 3 weeks. The hotel does not have a medical rate, nor is it included in the health insurance. Also, some medications are not included in the health coverage and Prentis will have quite a bill to cover when this trial is complete.
We, the immediate family, are seeking help to cover the cost of the room at the Brent House hotel and allay some of the medical expenses that are left over. The goal amount is not an overestimate. In fact, it is quite the underestimate. If you can even help with hotel arrangements, that would be appreciated.
We have faith in Jehovah that he will carry the family during this difficult time. Your prayers are what is most valuable to the Wilson family.
Thank you for taking the time to read the circumstances surrounding this crisis. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.
