Chelsea Walker, my daughter, collapsed just six days after the birth of her son, Bishop. She was taken to Integris Baptist Hospital in OKC. The final diagnosis was a rare syndrome TTP- HUS, she was semi-comatose for the first few days but has regained consciousness. Every system in her body has suffered over the past month, she requires dialysis at least three times weekly, and is in a lot of pain. In the last week she has developed pancreatitis and is unable to ingest enough food to sustain her body or promote healing.
The hospital feels there is nothing further they can do for her, so they want to transfer her to a long term acute care center. The local LTAC does not accept Medicaid patients and we have no idea where they will place her. They are saying that if I can find her a doctor and pay for the transportation she can transfer back to the hospital here in Enid.
If she could just see her children everyday it would make all the difference in the world, there is still hope.
I will be able to help with her care and there is a chance that her condition will improve.
Please help me give Bishop a chance to know his mother.
God bless each of you .
Cherish today because tomorrow is not promised.
Please pray for our family
