As many of you know this year my beautiful niece Chelsea has been fighting cancer. She was diagnosed with bone cancer in January, and since then it's been non stop chemotherapy, scans and a major reconstructive surgery. As a result of the treatment she lost her hair very early on and for most of the year that hasn't bothered her too much at all. Throughout this whole ordeal Chelsea has been such inspiration, not once complaining and always maintaning a positive and fighting attitude. More recently as treatment is coming to an end she's become quite self-conscious of her bald head. At the beginning of November Chelsea has her year 12 formal and I know more than anything she would love to be able to feel comfortable and like her old self in a nice new wig. Wigs are pretty expensive, especially for ones that are human hair and realistic. I decided to make this page to allow anyone who is willing to donate, help contribute to the purchasing of a wig. Anyone who knows Chelsea knows she is really uncomfortable asking people for money, and throughout this whole experience she's said how she doesn't want to be seen as a charity case. This year has been quite financially straining on our family and we're hoping Chelsea's loved ones would like to help us purchase the wig for her. The support throughout the year has been over whelming and any help is greatly appreciated.
