Chelsea & Jose Diaz

Hi, my name is Madison Thuve and I am fundraising on behalf of my sister and brother-in-law, Chelsea and Jose Diaz.

Tonalli Lou Diaz was born on March 7th, 2023 and is a healthy, beautiful baby girl.

She is doing wonderfully and is such a blessing.

Chelsea however, had a very traumatic birth and there have been many complications since. What started as natural labor progressed into an emergency C-Section after a whirlwind of 24 hours. They found fluid in Chelsea's kidneys and she was experiencing excruciating pain and fainting spells. After she gave birth they ran many more tests and found that Chelsea had a brain bleed. They transferred her to the ICU and sent the baby home from the hospital. Luckily, Tonalli was loved on and cared for by our family during this time. For the next 24 hours, they ran another round of tests on Chelsea and found there had been a complication from the anesthesiologist and she was experiencing a loss of spinal fluid, causing all of these issues. Chelsea remained in the hospital for an additional 48 hours and was FINALLY released on the night of March 12th.

We are happy to report that Chelsea is recovering and was finally reunited with her sweet baby girl. Jose has been an incredible support for both of them during this time. We are so proud of them and the amount of bravery and tenacity they have shown.

That being said, Chelsea has an extremely long recovery ahead of her with very limited mobility. We are asking for help to cover the costs of food/groceries, hospital bills, etc. while they are on this journey of recovery.
