Chelsea - Her boy & her family x

Donation protected

This is something I never imagined I would ever have to do, a fundraiser for a 31 year old girl, my best friend. A sister, a daughter, a mother &  without a doubt the light in everyone’s life. Chelsea has had a rough year & came out the end of it as usual, smiling, positive & making sure her boy - Kaylum - always always is the absolute soul of her priorities. Anyone who knows Chelsea, knows what she strives for in this life and that’s  her wee guy just has the best life, she does it everyday for him mostly on her own, but never complains. Her life was just getting back on track, new job, new home, new start for her and Kaylum, and unfortunatley the unimaginable happened, Chelsea was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, which she as always - took in her stride, said nah this won’t dishearten me, won’t discourage me - her braveness, her outlook, amazes me and everyone who know her every single day! With this news, the plan the dreaded treatment, with doing so they have discovered Chelsea’s cancer has progressed to her bones, at this stage Chelsea is fighting both breast cancer & a secondary bone cancer which has reached her skull her back and her breast bone.

Her treatment is about to start, a journey is about to start. Her work place has currently came to an end & for me, and I think I speak for her family and other friends, the very last thing Chelsea needs is stress, she’s had countless appointments over the past few months, she’s had to leave her boy for 24 hour periods because of the intensity of scans, and the news of it all - only she can feel. I want to help my friend, she never ever asks for help, she smiles and gets on with it. She’s the kindest person on this planet, she’s the light in a lot of peoples lives, she’s a mum to a 7 year old boy who adores her, a sister to 2 amazing girls who are also going through this with her, a mum & dad who would go to the ends of the earth, countless amazing cousins, aunties and uncles - and for me - the best friend I’ve ever ever had, my wee darling girl.

Cancer has no restriction to age, to situation, to gender to how good of a person you are. It’s a word we don’t ever want to hear, it’s a disease so many people fight, suffer & battle every single day. It’s touched us all in some ways, it hits 1 in 3 people in this life - it’s a stigma, but it won’t define who she is, nor how this life of hers will be, it will be battled it will be fought it will be won.

This is here to help, anything, anytime - I will continue to update her progress - and with her as so many will along the way.

I love you darling girl.

Lainey x
