Hi, my name is Nikki, and I am incredibly honoured to have been selected as one of only ten competitors in the Floral Creation category at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026. The winner will be awarded the title of ‘Florist of the Year’.

Being chosen for Chelsea as a relatively unknown, independent floral designer from County Durham (who retrained in Floristry after a significant career change) is the stuff dreams are made of. But, I can’t do this alone.

This year’s theme is “Floral Laboratory” so my design has been inspired by collaboration between humans and science as part of a plant’s lifecycle. I will take the viewer on a visual journey from the beginning to the end of this spectacular process.

As you can probably guess, attending Chelsea requires a lot of preparation, planning and financial commitment; these are just some of the items I need.

• Sustainable, high quality flowers and foliage

• Scientific glassware

• Storage facilities

• Transport and logistics

• Tools, and equipment

• Photography and documentation to share the journey

So, I am asking for any contribution — big or small. Whether it be a financial contribution or something else which meets the list above.
