Chefs helping Chefs, Irma Relief

Our culinary family needs our help. On September 6th, Hurricane Irma left the Virgin Islands in a scene of absolute destruction. The category five storm destroyed the homes, businesses and livelihoods of many of our dear sister and brother chefs.

Many of us have felt helpless, but have worked together to come up with ways to aid them and their families. As they begin to work on rebuilding their lives, we want to show them our support.

We are asking you for a helping hand so we can assist our brother and sister chefs in distress. These are people who regularly reach out and help others without the expectation of being helped in return. Now it is their time to accept help from all of us who want to help us help them, as they must relocate to the United States.

We have launched a campaign to help fund the immediate needs of our chef family in the Caribbean. These funds will be disbursed to Culinary Wonders USA, a Jacksonville Beach, Florida based non- profit organization, whose mission is to introduce, share and cultivate the culinary arts to minorities.

Erika Cline, who is not only an amazing chef but also a selfless person, started this organization. We want to give to her and the many others in our chef family that need us now more than ever.

We are asking you to join us in our attempt to raise funds for the many culinary and hospitality workers in the US Virgin Islands and The British Virgin Islands who have lost everything due to Hurricane Irma.

100 percent of the funds donated will be sent directly to Culinary Wonders USA and distributed to affected chefs in the British Virgin Islands and US Virgin Islands

“Anytime you fall you get up…. If you have perseverance, if you have will, if you have a mission and you reach for those stars and beyond you can accomplish anything, you know. Every struggle, look at it as a stepping block and not just a fault or a downfall,” – Chef Neil Cline

Let’s be the stepping-stones our chef family needs to get up and get back to business.
