Mobility Fund for Chef Luis Vargas
Donation protected
My name is Joan, and I have set up this fund for my granddaughter Sarah and her family as they are going through a tough time and could use some financial assistance from some kind people. The very wonderful family of Luis, Sarah, and their sons, Dominic and Adrian, have been dealt a bad card and need our help to get through this difficult period!

Everybody knows Luis as the hardworking chef at McT'S Tavern in Cumberland. He had recently been featured in the Valley Breeze, Woonsocket Call, and Pawtucket Times for placing 2nd at the 34th Annual Great Chowder Cook-Off in Newport earlier this summer. He has worked in kitchens around the area for over a decade, including local favorites Davenport's Restaurant and Stanley's Famous Hamburgers.

Up until six weeks ago, he was a normal, healthy 26 year old, when he was struck with a debilitating illness his doctors can't diagnose, despite being admitted to the hospital twice, being seen by teams of neurologists, and having extensive testing done. At this time, Luis cannot feel his legs from the knees down, and has been unable to walk for weeks. He has lost feeling in his hands as well. He is very weak and in an intense amount of pain.

I am asking you to please pitch in your generous donations to help this family get through this. They need some help to purchase mobility aids for Luis, have a wheelchair ramp constructed for their apartment, and make other necessary changes around their home to accommodate his newly acquired disability.
Let's all pray for Luis, his family, and for his doctors - that they find out exactly what's wrong with him, and will be able to help him. Please give whatever you can. Every amount helps!
Thanks so much! God bless!
