Official Statement from the family of Chef Jay:
Chef Jay has been facing one of the toughest challenges for the past month.
She has been in the ICU battling an infection in her brain that has caused her to learn how to walk all over again.
This unexpected illness has forced her to put her business on pause. Many of you know that owning a food truck has been a dream of Chef Jay since she was a child. This unexpected illness has quickly put the business at risk.
With mounting medical bills, falling behind on bills for both her home and food truck, and her mom’s financial responsibilities, it has become an overwhelming situation. She has also been unable to pay her employees, which adds to the strain she's feeling as a business owner.
If you know Chef Jay personally, you would know that she truly believes in the power of community and she will always give to those in need...without question.
We have started this page on her behalf because it is time that we surround her with the love, support, and care that gives to others daily.
Any support you can offer, no matter how small, will help us cover basic needs like rent, bills, and wages, while she focuses on healing and getting back on her feet.
Her customer's support has made her childhood dreams of owning a food truck come true, and we know she can’t wait to be back serving you again. For now, we humbly ask for any help you can provide during this difficult time. Thank you for being part of Chef Jay's journey!
