Chef Sofia lost her house

Our dear, dear, fabulous, and generous friend Sofia Wilt just lost her home in Leilani Estates to the lava flow.  

Over the years Sofia has been such a giving friend and host to so many of us. I can literally say that she has fed thousands of us at her home over the years.   She is one of our most widely loved in this Puna ohana.  She and her cats and dogs are now homeless.  Her livelihood and rental income are gone.  She has no idea what she is going to do as this is so fresh.  To make things worse, Crouton (Space Cat) her feline is now on deaths door.  We can help.

I am starting this fundraiser as a way that we can help her transition to whatever comes next.  There are so many in need right now.  All of us here fear for what may come, but let us not forget how much we need to help and support one another.  Anything helps.  100%  of everything raised goes to Sofia.  

This isn't just a fundraiser, please feel free to offer up whatever support and assistance you can, even just words of love; those are free.  But cash too.  Maybe both.  And some humor, it's better to cry and laugh than just to cry.
