Quintin Perry better known as "Chef Q" has been suffering from chronic lymphocytic leukemia for the past 6 years. Although there has been mild success with three prior treatments, each one had resulted in a remission for a short period of time. The current treatment has failed, at this point the best option for treatment is the CAR T Cell Therapy.
Chef Q has been eagerly awating to be approved for CAR T Cell Therapy, an experimental treatment that would be more beneficial to combat the cancer affecting his body. He has now moved up on the list to be a part of this trial. The time has come where he will be admitted anytime now and we are hopeful for what this experimental treatment can offer. Although it is a blessing to have this opportunity as it is the best option at this time. This trail therapy is not free and he will pay for many of these trial expenses out of pocket. He will have to go to Nashville, TN and be admitted for 2-3 weeks and spend an additional 2-3 weeks in Nashville for follow-up care to ensure the treatment is working.
In addition to having to pay for some of the medical treatment and living expenses while in Nashville, Chef Q is self employed and will not be able work during this time; but you all know Chef Q, and he’s trying to figure out a way to have Off The Grill open.
Chef Q is never one to ask for help, which is why we, his family, are asking that anything you can give to help during the time he will be away from home and his business will be appreciated. There is no amount too small.
