Chef Moreno's Family

A few days ago in the middle of the night, my Chef's car was burglarized and the family minivan stolen from their driveway.  Luckily it was just stuff and no one was hurt in the process.  It saddens me because this couldn't have happened to a more hardworking father and friend.  Under normal circumstances this would already be difficult, but as you can imagine the toll that this coronavirus year has had on everyone especially to our service/hospitality industry.

Chef didn't ask for help in any way, he assured me that they'd make it through.  I decided to wait a few days to see what the police would uncover and also what insurance would say.  The silver lining is after some good detective work from the local PD, they were able to find the family van and the insurance companies are able to cover some of the stolen items but not all.

Work has always had a family (Ohana) culture and I'm hoping that together along with our friends, we can help make the holidays a little brighter for one of our own.

Some items we are hoping these funds will help replace are: baby equipment (i.e. safety seats, strollers, bags), laptop, power tools, and an iPad.  Also to help with fixing some of the damage caused to the vehicles.

Thank you everyone, stay safe, and happy holidays.
