Chef David

Please let me tell you about my fellow Veteran and Legionnaire, Chef David Shoffner of The American Legion Post 160, Smyrna Georgia. My name is Sherman Bruce and I am privileged  to serve as Chaplain for the Post.  David has been the Chef at our Post for over five years. Before the virus, he was able to make a living with our being open for business five days a week. His work week has now been reduced to Friday and Saturday nights only and will be for the foreseeable future. To add to the financial  burden, Chef Shoffner has cancer which has spread to his stomach. He does his chemo on Thursday to make it through his only two days of employment. Post 160's membership is asking, on behalf of their friend and fellow Veteran,  for your help to assist Chef David with medical and living expenses. Your giving this request your consideration is sincerely appreciated.
