UPDATE: The family cannot express how thankful they are for the love and help Carlos’ friends and family have shown and given. The majority of funds will pay for the funeral service they believe Carlos would want and leftover funds will be used towards the gathering after his service. They hope to get recommendations on what specific foods Carlos most loved and would want to share with friends and family. The gathering will be a celebration of Carlos because friends and family know Carlos would want people to enjoy good food, good drinks, smiles, and laughter in his honor.
There are people you meet that you forget the moment they leave you and sometimes you meet people that make such an impact in your life they become unforgettable. On September 8, 2021 the universe lost one of the most impactful and unforgettable people. One of those people was Carlos. He was the light, laughter, and soul people needed when they didn’t even know it. His unconditional love for any person he met was endless. His unexpected passing affected everyone around him, but also brought hundreds of people together. He was a father, a son, a brother, and a chef. Chef Carlos’ “life of the party” personality brought people together as he traveled around the country helping North Italia’s restaurants and educating friends around him about this passion, food. People believed in him and he believed in them. Carlos is going home and any donation you can help the family with will help send him home where he’ll have the biggest party and best food watching over us all.
