Cheeto Emergency Surgery

Emergency surgery for Cheeto on 5/8/21. We noticed Cheeto was restless, breathing funny and seemed out of it. We could tell he was in pain and his stomach was extremely bloated. We decided to rush him to the nearest Emergency Vet office and after talking with them on the phone they came out to greet us and immediately took Cheeto back for examination and determined Emergency surgery was needed to save his life. Surgeon found a blockage in his stomach/intestines (grass/food). Surgeon's removed the blockages and gas causing the painful bloat and decided to stitch his intestines to the side of his body to prevent get them from getting tangled up or turning in the future. While performing surgery they found a 1" wide mass on his liver and had to remove 20% of his liver. (7) masses were also found on his spleen that required a complete splenectomy.  Xrays showed the left side of his heart to be enlarged and after performing an EKG found it to be a tiny leak in the valve that doesn't require additional surgery or medication. After all was completed his Surgery and 2 nights stay in the ER totaled $7,206,99!
