Emma Weatherby was taken into the hands of God after a long corageous battle with rhabdoymyosarcoma on April 13th, 2018 at Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.
When Emma was first diagnosed with cancer, she took the news camly and prepared for the battle. For the last 2 & 1/2 years, Emma has fought cancer with unwavering strength and fearlessness. In fact, if she was still here with us, she would be telling us to get it together.
What can I say about Emma? She was a friend, sister, daughter, and a fighter. She taught us about love and life. Emma had an amazing 19 years filled with the people she loved doing the things she loved.
We all feel this loss so deeply because Emma made each of US feel special. Whether a close friend, acquaintance, or stranger, when Emma focused on you, she focused on you, and made sure you knew it. Whether she was giving you adivce, guiding you, or just smiling - at that moment she made you feel speical. Today is so painful because we lost this amazing young woman, but we should take who Emma was, and what she stood for and learn from it.
We feel so fortunate to have known, loved and laughed with her over the years. Rest in peace beautiful Emma. Our lives have been forever changed because of you. Your sparkle will never fade.
I am starting this fund to alleviate stress on the family and cover some of the costs of the funeral, anything helps. We will be taking donations throughout the week. Thank you
