Hi! We're the Cheers For Jess team and we are helping raise money for our best friend, Jessica Brown, who is fighting an advanced form of cervical cancer.
As many of you know, Jessica is a self-employed hair and makeup artist. Because she is bedridden and quite weak, she will not be able to return to work for the foreseeable future (which has been one of the harshest realities for her to face—if you’re one of her clients, you know how much she loves what she does!) Dan is still working full-time but he may need to take unpaid time off to help Jessica (whether it’s because he will need to be at the hospital more, or he will need to start traveling with her to and from Texas). Even with insurance, the costs of living and helping Jessica through this are already starting to add up.
This GoFundMe will help relieve some of the financial stress associated with Jessica’s overall healthcare needs. The funds raised may be used for the following:
- Groceries/meals
- A cleaning service for Jessica and Dan’s house
- Gas cards for family/friends who are helping take Jessica to and from appointments, pick up medications, etc.
- Possible long-term residency in Texas
- In-home nurse/caregiver
- Items that will generally make Jessica’s life easier at home/the hospital (baggier, more comfortable clothes; supportive pillow(s) and/or a bed tray for her bed; lotion/moisturizer)
- Hats/head coverings and wigs for Jessica
We are so incredibly grateful for everyone's generosity! Your love, prayers, and support truly mean the world to Jessica and keep her spirits up in this fight. Jessica is an incredible, strong woman and we know she will beat it.
