CHEERforEMILY

Our beloved cheer coach and friend, Emily, was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma on October 11th 2019.  She found a lump on October 1st and with it being breast cancer awareness month, got it checked out immediately. Emily also got engaged over Labor Day weekend to her fiance' Nick. This should be a happy time in their lives while planning a wedding, but instead, a giant wrench got thrown into the mix. Not only will Emily be receiving medical treatment through chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation, she must also consider options for when she and Nick are ready to start a family - one of those options being IVF, which insurance does not cover. It will be a long and strenuous road to becoming cancer free, but we have no doubt she will make it out the other side. Emily is a wonderful person, mentor, and coach and she WILL beat this!
